Hello from the road
This is the first post on RoamSchoolFamily.
We are four people in a vehicle, working our way through the 63 U.S. national parks. Big does math at the picnic table in the morning. Little is on a “draw what you see” rotation that has produced, to date, eleven bison and one ranger’s hat. Erika keeps the rig running. I write.
The plan for this site is simple:
- A journal — datestamped entries from each stop.
- Park guides — one per park, with the practical stuff a family needs.
- Lessons — what the kids studied, when, and what tied it to the place.
- Essays — slower writing, when there’s a thing worth saying at length.
We’ll add as we go. Nothing here is finished.
